Mar 2007: Uni survey supports Commuter Service & Qld link Print E-mail

Southern Cross University (SCU) surveyed residents and tourists early 2007 to determine possible passenger numbers for a commuter service.

Researchers found that 72% would use  a local service on the existing line at least once a month.  This equates to 2875 passengers per day, or about 28 return service pers day.

And if the line was connected from Murwillumbah to the Gold Coast, then 91% would use the service at least once a monthly.
